Lanham Man Working At Virginia School Charged With Soliciting Sex From Student: Police

A Maryland man working for Arlington Public Schools has been arrested and charged with a sexually-based offense, authorities announced on Friday.

Lanham resident Darryl Ramsey, Jr., 31, is facing charges in Virginia and now investigators are seeking possible additional victims.

According to the Arlington Police Department, last week, the agency launched an investigation after being tipped off that an Instructional Assistant assigned to Wakefield High School solicited sex from an underage student.

The investigation led to Ramsey's arrest on Friday, Nov. 15, who was charged with taking indecent liberties with a child by a person in a supervisory or custodial relationship.

It is an ongoing investigation.
